Kelty primary football stars bring home the trophy
28 May, 2012Kelty Primary kids have been celebrating after the school’s football team lifted the St Margaret’s Cup after a day of hard-fought competition at Pitreavie.
The competition was held on Friday 25th May, when eight boys from primary six and primary seven, competed in the competition, representing Kelty.
Deput head teacher Mrs Broadley said: “After a worrying start to the day when the bus didn't arrive and the team had to travel in some hastily booked taxis, the boys rose to the challenge. There were a number of hard fought matches and it was a close result. After a long wait, the winner was announced - Kelty Primary School!
“The boys were a credit to the school both in their football skills and their attitude. A special thank you to Miss Ewing who has coached the boys. I’m proud of you all! Now to find the key to the trophy cabinet...”
