Local candidate for Fife Health Board Elections
For all of you who have not voted yet, I need your support so can you please put a number 1 next to my name on the ballot paper and post it back in the envelope provided.
Thanks.
Here is a small biog about me just in case there were too many to read in the book provided.
Susan Archibald is thee Archibald of the House of Lords' landmark ruling Archibald v Fife Council which has strengthened the employment rights of people with disabilities.
Susan informed herself about the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), Employment Law, and discrimination issues before appealing under the Disability Discrimination Act and lost an Appeal, lost a Tribunal, lost in The Court of Session, before finally the Disability Rights Commission won her case in The House of Lords. The case from start to finish lasted over five years.
Susan has continued to work in a voluntary capacity for the last 11 years to influence policies, strengthen new and existing equality laws and secure better rights for people not just on a local level but also on a national and International level.
Susan is an Ambassador for the Independent Living Movement; Convener for Worktrack; and Vice Convener for Inclusion Scotland. Susan is a member of three Cross Party Working Groups in the Scottish Parliament on Disability, Mental Health, and Human Rights & Civil Liberties. Susan is also a member of the Steering Group Human Rights Consortium in Scotland, a member of DWP Equality Reference Group.
Susan brings lived life experience which can be incorporated into improving services that will benefit the people of Fife, she has become a disability specialist and I feel she would be an asset to Fife Health Board and would urge the people of Fife to give her their vote of approval.
Vote for Susan Archibald
