Consultation launched on plans to move Kelty Post Office

Plans are under way to move Kelty's Main Street Post Office to a new home - but only just up the road!

Post Office Ltd has launched a consultation exercise into the plans, which would see the office move just 30 yards up the main street, into the David Sands store at 32 Main Street.

If the plans are given the go-ahead, the move would take place in October. The new office would be wheelchair-friendly, have extended opening hours, and a purpose-build counter inside the store.

The consultation will run until Tuesday 30th August - if you have any concerns write to Brian Turnbull, c/o Post Office Ltd, National Consultation Team, PO Box 2060, Watford, WD18 8ZW.

I dont mind where it goes,but do the PO team know how long the queue of people is on pension days? its all inside the PO and outside along Lawrence Street up the side of the PO where they dont block anything. Is David Sands going to be able to accomodate the queue in the shop and outside where it will block other shop door ways and the narrow pavement leading to the bus stop?
