MRS DOUGLAS`S DOO HILL CASTLE TRIP

by OWEN OHARE

This was something everyone of us kids looked forward to during our summer holidays, most of us lived in Blair Street as did Mrs Douglas but anyone was welcome no matter what street you lived in.

Off we would go with our bottles of water and jeely pieces, fighting red indians and pirates along the way in the woods,it was a fair walk but the time just flew by and a great time was had by all and not a mobile phone or DS game in sight and no hurry to get back in time for a TV programme as no one had a TV.

This Beautiful Lovely Lady brought so much Happiness and Pleasure to so many of us kids and I am sure is still Fondly remembered by those of us who are still alive today.

If anyone who is on this Photo would like to comment on this or get in touch with me I would love to hear from them.I now live in Western Australia but my Brother Jack O`Hare still lives in Kelty

Memories, Nostalgia & History

History doesn't have to be in black & white

Your memory of a local character or a school photo from the last ten years can be just as interesting as wars and Victorians.
