Hi can someone tell me the name of the shop that was half way down station road,oposite the garage,mind you that was 50 ?years ago,i remember there was a lady who always sat on a sofa chair in the back shop and came through to serve us,cant remember there name,silly because we lived next door ,my father owned the block of flats his name was Robert Thomson and my granddad was name old flap,we left Kelty when i was 9yr old but have fond memories of Kelty playing on the bings,slideing down on rubber mats,attending ebineezer hall,and galla day where we all got new plastc shoes that dident last a week and we all got a sixpence from the miners,well done Miners.can any one tell me what happend to people we knew,a lad called Gaddy,Michael brenigan,Linda Whitingham,my class at school this is from 1953 till 1961.and has any one have any school photos or gala day back then would welcome any info thanks
